Damn, it’s blooming…

Buenas Tardes Travellers,

Last Friday afternoon at work, I noticed something most delightfully unexpected…Wait, let’s back that up…If you will recall, I had a glorious outdoor table garden this summer. Veggies, strawberries, tomatoes, flowers, cacti and one little survivor of a blueberry bush. That little guy was an act of serious faith when I repotted him in April. He appeared to be near dead, all brown sticks, no signs of returning life, but I thought why not try…and he grew so big. SO BIG, like five pant sizes.

This is temporary

Holy hot one Travellers,

I should have kept my mouth shut last Friday because no sooner did I declare the glory of our morning walk and the accompanying weather did Mother Nature decide to humidify our lives. 90% humidity. It’s abit much. In truth we’ve really only had two rough weeks of heat and humidity here this year, which is really a gift, and today appears to be the last of this little bout of saturated air.

I actually think of high school chemistry class when it’s humid like this AND super saturated solutions…do you remember that sort of thing? How much particulate can you dissolve into a liquid before it no longer dissolves? In this case though, it’s the air that is supersaturated and that’s actually true because when it can’t hold anymore water, it tends to rain. Am I right? Sorta? Obviously, I’m not a chemist…but my teacher would be so pleased that I even remembered any of that.

The Unfolding

A mid-morning hello to you fellow Travellers,

I cannot find the words to tell you how extraordinary the weather is here in Kansas. Since you may not be aware of this fact, our state can birth a seriously hellishly hot, humid, nasty beast of a summer, but right now, it is GLORIOUS!! The forecast, GLORIOUS for like the next 10 days!! I feel like we won some kind of weather lottery…because the windows can stay open for hours and ohhhh, it’s just the best…just thought I’d let you know…
